Certificates
From the School of Continuing Education, we can issue two types of certificates:
- The Personal Academic Certificate (PAC), which details your academic record: number of credits/hours, grades, academic year, etc.
- The Syllabus Certificate, which includes the content of the subjects/modules in your academic record. Some countries require this document to legalize your continuing education qualification (master’s, diploma, or specialization course).
To request a certificate, follow the procedure below:
1. Submit your certificate request. You will receive an automatic email response with a ticket number. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you keep this email to track your request (especially if you submitted it without a NIU).
2. We will review your academic record. If everything is in order, we will send you an email with instructions on how to pay the corresponding fees.
IMPORTANT: Do not make any payment until we instruct you to do so.
The current fees for issuing certificates are:
- Personal Academic Certificate: €27.27
- Syllabus Certificate: €30
If we detect any issues (unpaid fees, missing grades, missing access documentation, etc.), we will contact you to resolve them.
Fees for academic, administrative, and other services (Academic Year 2024–2025)
3. Send us proof of your payment:
- If you have a NIU: Reply to our email to attach the proof of payment. If you prefer, you can also do it by accessing your ticket. Have you forgotten your NIDO and/or password? Retrieve them at the Online Services and Procedures.
- Forgot your NIU and/or password? reply to the automatic email you received when you submitted your application to attach proof of payment.
- Do you need your Certificate within 15 working days? Check the “urgent” box.
IMPORTANT: IT IS ESSENTIAL that you attach proof of the urgency (for example, a copy of the call showing the calendar). Otherwise, your request will be treated as an ordinary request.
4. Approximately 15 working days after we receive your proof of payment, we will send your certificate by email (if your studies date before 2008, it may take longer):
- It will be electronically signed and include a Secure Verification Code (CSV), verifiable on the UAB Electronic Office.
- Documents are processed with an electronic signature. If you need a handwritten signature for legalization purposes, indicate this in your certificate request. We will notify you by email when it is ready for collection. You may collect it:
- In person: You must book an appointment and bring a valid ID or passport
- By authorizing another person through the authorization form. The authorized person must book an appointment and bring a valid ID or passport.
- By courier service:
- You may hire a courier company to collect your certificate and deliver it to the address you provide.
- You must authorize them using the authorization form.
- Once we receive your authorization, they may collect it during office hours.
