The Resource Centre Showcase returns after a year
On March 1st, the Showcase of the Centre will be premiered again by "QuadRats", an exhibition by the Artencurs collective. The project, created by the Community Involvement Unit with the aim of making the daily work of UAB societies visible, had remained inactive due to the onset of the pandemic.
In order to approach the Resource Centre Showcase to the whole community, a digital version has been created: the Virtual Showcase of the Centre, which will be inaugurated in the coming months.
In January 2018, the Community Involvement Unit inaugurated the Resource Centre Showcase, a space to promote the university’s associative fabric and to highlight the participation of entities in the revitalization of the university community. Since then, various exhibitions have been held by UAB groups until March 2020.
After a long break, the Showcase of the Centre is ready to receive again a series of exhibitions that will be premiered every month. The first to head this list is "QuadRats", an Artencurs art project that will take place on March 1 and will run until April 8. This society is made up of students and faculty from the Faculty of Philosophy. Its aim is based on acquiring philosophical skills from artistic and aesthetic practices, an intention perfectly reflected in the exhibition.
As a novelty, this year each presentation will have an inaugural event chaired by the same society, and will include a participatory action aimed at the whole community.
In addition, in order to approach the Resource Centre Showcase to the whole community, a digital version has been created: the Virtual Showcase of the Centre, which will be inaugurated in the coming months. Both spaces will coexist and serve to promote the activity of the groups. What’s more, the digital version will have extra content. The inaugural event can be followed on the Community Development YouTube channel.
