Political scientist Bruno Dente receives an honorary doctorate award from the UAB

Italian political scientists Bruno Dente, professor in the analysis of public policies at the Politecnico di Milano, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the UAB on Monday 7 October in an event which also served to inaugurate the academic year at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. Dente is considered one of the world's most renowned analysts of public policies and administrations.

The Cultura en Viu Unit changes the schedule of its film projections to accommodate PAS and PDI members interested in attending during their lunch break. The current programme offers a cycle on economics and business and another on the films by Federico Fellini.

Sustain-T project fostering sustainability in the tourism sector presents its results

The TUDISTAR and GRATS research groups organise a final conference for the European Eramus+ project Sustain-T which will be held on 8 October at the Casa Convalescència in Barcelona. Open to the general public, this free event will serve to present the platform created to help small businesses in the tourism sector become environmentally more sustainable.

Bruno Dente, professor in the analysis of public policies at the Politecnico di Milano, will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the UAB in a ceremony which will take place on 7 October and which will also officially inaugurate the academic year at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. The event will be streamed live.

Services at the UAB campus in August

During the month of August, UAB campus services will have special opening hours and some will close for a short period. Train and bus lines to and from campus will also function on different timetables.

UAB's archaeology students participate in the Arqueoborn project

Students of the UAB bachelor's degree in Archaeology are participating this summer in the Arqueoborn project: researching the urban site of the El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria with the objective of obtaining the entire chronostratigraphic sequence from between the end of the 13th century and the year 1717.
