Refugees Programme
The UAB Refuge Program contributes to the improvement of university practices in favor of the rights of people forcibly displaced and/or in search of refuge, as well as to facilitate the reconstruction of their lives futures. In a global scenario marked by the increase in forced displacement and the continued violation of migrants’ and refugees’ rights, it is also necessary for the university to respond to this situation.
This program, which was established in 2016, is developed by the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) in coordination with various university actors.
The program is organized around the following lines of action: training, awareness and participation with a cross-cutting axis of networking.
And the main actions it carries out are:
Personal assistance
Personal assistance: academic orientation, assistance in the legalization of documentation, legal assistance and facilitation of other services (llengües, feina, salut...).
