Along with the 50 Years of UAB, the student movement celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. For this reason, on 14 May university will present the audiovisual production ’50 Years of Student Movement in UAB’.
50 anys Moviment Estudiantil
The history of UAB is also the history of its students and their claims. Thus, 50 years of UAB are also 50 years of student movement. A movement that seeks a public and high-quality university; a cross-wise movement that, from the very beginning, go together with social claims; an intrinsic movement in university.

In order to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of student movement in UAB, the audiovisual production ’50 years of Student Movement in UAB’ will be screened on May 14 at 1 p.m. in the Sala d’Actes at the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology. This project was carried out by two students from the Faculty of Communication Studies, produced by the Dinamització Comunitària Unit and promoted by the Vice-Rector for Students and Employability.

The presentation ceremony will count on the presence of some people that appear in the audiovisual content: Joan Manuel Tresserras, professor from the Department of Media, Communication and Culture; Berta Satoca, student and representative of the Iniciativa Legislativa Popular (ILP) Universitats; José Luis Lalueza, professor of the Department of Basic and Educative Psicology; Núria Alcaraz, pre-doctorate researcher of Sociology, and Xavier Domènech, professor from the Department of Modern and Contemporary History.

There will be an open debate (“Where are we heading to?”) after the screening, where students will discuss the future of student movement: what fights are left now?

We invite you all to come and participate!
