"Torres de la UAB" meet up once again at the SiS space
On Wednesdays, the SiS space will be taken over by UAB chess players belonging to the Torres de la UAB club, who will once again play their weekly chess matches.
Wednesdays, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., the SiS space will offer weekly chess matches by members of the Torres de la UAB club
Torres de la UAB is the UAB's official chess club and its objective is to share this hobby with members of the whole university community.
The club was founded in 2019 under the name of “Chess UAB”, but after a contest open to the university community to find a new name for the club, its name was changed in order clearly to reflect the meaning behind the UAB's chess club.
After a change in board members, the club once again will be holding regular chess matches, and has chosen the Central Axis' SiS space to meet up and play.
Each week members of the club will welcome newcomers to discover and enjoy one of the essential parts of belonging to the club: sharing and explaining the ins and outs of chess with matches in which anyone can join.
Every Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. the Torres de la UAB will meet to spend some leisure time surrounded by 64 blakc and white squares and enormous chess pieces.
