With the aim of sharing the transformative and inspiring knowledge generated at university, the UAB organises a series of informative lectures called “Veus”. The activity will take place on 16 November and all members of the university community interested in sharing their idea or project are invited to participate. A UAB committee will be in charge of selecting those who will give the lectures, and will place special interest in proposals which are multidisciplinary and inclusive, both in terms of the speakers and the public to which it is addressed.

Selection criteria will focus on the relevance of each proposal in finding a solution to a challenge posed by society, in any of the areas of knowledge, as well as on the quality of the idea. Ideas will be chosen from different areas to ensure that a diversity of subjects are covered.

Participants will take part in a short training sesion on communication skills and will also count on the support of the UAB when preparing their lecture, as well as all necessary material.

The “Veus” informative sessions will be held on campus on 16 November as part as the UAB Science Week, and will also be streamed live and later uploaded to the UAB’s official YouTube channel.

Those interested in giving a lecture must fill out this form. Applications can be sent in until 30 September.
