The UAB offers its condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the coach accident that took place in Freginals. A free telephone hotline for information about the accident from outside Catalonia has also been set up: 900 400 012. The University places its Trauma Unit (UTCCB) at the disposal of the families.

The UAB and the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) joined in the two days of official mourning declared by the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat) and the five minutes' silence on Monday 21 March at the entrance of the Historic Building of the University of Barcelona.
