Ecofeminisim against climate emergency

In a speech bearing this title, on March 3rd in the UAB Theatre, Yayo Herrero will reflect on the current model of lifestyle and how it has led us to the climate emergency.

Which is the stance of ecofeminist movement regarding this issue? Herrero states that the current capitalist system neglects the fact that human beings are dependent on nature. In several interviews she has criticized how the current model harms nature, exploiting the work done mostly by women in their day-to-day life. That is why it is more necessary than ever that different social movements get together.

Yayo Herrero has written ten books about feminism and climate emergency. In her last entitled Climte Change, alongside Maria Gonzalez, she reflects on what the consequences of this issue are for us and what can we do to stop it.

She will talk about the key points of this topic and how to stop climate change from a feminist point of view in her speech on March 3rd. This is a unique opportunity to be able to see one of the most recognized activists for today’s environmentalism.
