Sing, dance, act or make cinema at the UAB

Come and enrol for any of the proposed cultural activities this semester: theatrical performance, opera, voice technique, swing, terror movies, choir, orchestra and contemporary dance

Do you want to do something at the UAB besides from studying? Dancing, singing, acting or learning cinema? From now until 23 February you can enrol for Cultura en Viu’s activities. We start the semester with old activities and also with innovative proposals.

One of the innovations is the activity Terror at the UAB. Filmmaking Workshop, with the aim of watching movies of this genre with an explanation of practical and theoretical knowledge and support of specialized teachers. In addition, you will be able to make your personal project of terror.

If you don’t like terror movies and you prefer dancing we offer you to learn swing, with a workshop for people that have never tried dancing swing and want to learn its movements, positions and basic rhythms of Lindy Hop to start dancing. And best of all, you don’t need to sign up for the activity with a partner.

Besides from swing, you can also join a contemporary dance initiation, initiation to the theatrical performance or a workshop to improve the technique of voice. Remember, as always, you can subscribe to the Orchestra and semester Chorus of the UAB.  

If you like opera, you have the chance to enrol for the Open Opera activity based on watching some of the operas of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and their study through professional lecturers. This year it’s called “Human passions at the scene” and with the inscription you can attend a general rehearsal of the opera “Carmen” and a tour of the Gran Teatre del Liceu installations.

And if what you want is to enjoy as audience of the cultural programming of the Theatre, Cinema and the exposition spaces of the UAB, join the activity “Viu la Cultura”, show you student card and you’ll be able to enjoy advantages and discounts.
