Charlotte Poschenrieder Wiens
Director of the Plant Physiology Research Group. Expert in plant responses to stress derived from problem soils; mainly salinity, pollution and extreme soil pH. Her studies focuse on the mechanisms of resistance, tolerance and adaptation using both physiological and molecular- genetic approaches in model plants, as well as in natural populations and crops. She ha published more than 150 articles in international journals and accumulates more than 6,000 citations. She has large experience in the coordination of reserach projects and in the evaluation of projects and scientific production at the national and intenational level. She has directed more than 20 Doctoral Thesis.

He is an expert on malignant hematologic diseases, with special focus on acute leukemias, especially acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He is also an expert on new therapies in hematology: immunotherapy and cell therapy.

Roberto Risch
He focuses on the investigation of the ecological, economic and social dynamics in the Mediterranean during Later Prehistory. On a theoretical level, his main interest has been the development of economic and ecological theory in archaeology, paying special attention to issues such as the social division of labour and surplus production. The methodological implications of this research concern the technological and functional analysis of archaeological artefacts, in particular ground stone tools, ceramics and metals, and paleoecology. Another of his concerns is to improve the interaction between archaeological research and the general public.

He studies the effects of fire on composition and structure of plant and insects communities. This research aims at improving our understanding of the role of vital traits thses organisms in the post-fire recover of Mediterranean communities at regional scale. He also is interested in the study of plant-pollianator interactions with the objective to understand the structure of pollination networks and the effects on the pollination function in natural and agricultural systems.

Ph.D in the Global Public Law and Human Security program, Master in International Relations in the specialty of Peace and Security studies. Member of the International Committee for Robot Arms Control(ICRAC), European Coordinator of Leading Cities and the Stop Killer Robots Campaign in Spain. Expert in autonomous lethal systems systems and studies of society and technology. He is currently participating as a non-governmental expert in the Convention for certain conventional weapons of the United Nations and in the AI for Good project of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
