According to the QS Best Student Cities 2015, Barcelona is the 19th top city in the world for university students. Among other factors, the ranking takes into account that the city is home to the two most prestigious universities in Spain: the UAB and the UB.
The UAB has created a programme which helps disabled students and graduates find jobs. The university offers support and assessment in looking for work and acts as a liaison between candidates and job vacancies.
The UAB is one of the 15 universities and research centres which - through the Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC) - has saved up to 1.73 million euros in 2014, a 13% of the total electricity bill.
