Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week at UAB

From 26 to 30 October UAB is holding its Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week, for the whole university community: different activities to raise awareness of more sustainable ways of getting around.

Talk for the volunteers on the “From prison to community” project

A study in which the UAB is involved will investigate whether assistance with the transition into the community for people who have served a prison sentence improves reintegration levels. Members of the university community can take part as mentors during the final months of the sentence and the first few months on release.

The official opening of the academic year at the UAB took place on 29 September, in the Rectorat building. María Josefa Yzuel, emeritus professor in the Department of Physics, gave the opening lecture, on light-based science and technology.

Opening of the 2015–2016 academic year

The official opening of the 2015–2016 academic year at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will take place at noon on 29 September, in the auditorium (Sala d'Actes) of the Rectorat building. María Josefa Yzuel, emeritus professor in the Department of Physics, will give the opening lecture entitled "The science of light and light-based technologies".

International Welcome Days now under way

All through the week of 14 to 19 September the International Welcome Days are taking place, a week of activities to welcome the Autònoma's international students. The aim is for these students to get to know the UAB campus, services and associations, and meet up with other international and local students.
