In celebration of International Day of Light on 16 May, the faculties of Sciences and Biosciences have organised a flash fiction competition, open to all members of the UAB. The stories must reenact situations in which light is an essential element of the plot. Submissions must be made by 28 April.
UAB’s Care Center for Disability (PIUNE) offers this service addressed to university students with an auditory disability.
Within the framework of the Let’s Clean Up Europe campaign, the FAS Environmental Team took part in a cleaning action in UAB’s forest. The aim was to protect biodiversity on campus and to restore its natural environment. They built a figure with the trash picked up in order to raise awareness on the issue.
From 1 to 5 April over 40 free activities will be available for the UAB community: workshops, conferences, walks, sports, etc. On Wednesday 3 April, there will be music performances and healthy food offered by food-trucks at the Rambla Nord.
Yale University's Professor Deborah Coen will be offering a seminar on 15 March at 12 noon at the Centre for the History of Science (CEHIC) on her latest book Climate in Motion: Science, Empire, and the Problem of Scale. The seminar is open to all those interested in attending.
The UAB community has organised a series of events to celebrate International Women's Day which will be held before, on and after 8 March.
The government of Catalonia soon will open a new call for 18 lecturers at the UAB under the Serra Húnter Programme. The international call to apply for positions will be open from 4 March to 1 April 2019.
