Mari Luz Esteban is lecturer in Social Anthropology at the University of the Basque Country and expert in the field of anthropology and feminist activism. She is the author of several books, including Antropología del cuerpo: género, itinerarios corporales, identidad y cambio (2004) and Crítica del pensamiento amoroso (2011). She has also written the poetry collections Manifiesto de la nueva mujer vieja (2020) and La muerte de mi madre me hizo más libre (2016).

Mireia Sallarès is a visual artist who often bases her artistic creation on anthropological research. Her works include Las muertes chiquitas (2007-2013) and Kao malo vode la dlanu (2019), a project about love in Serbia that received the City of Barcelona Visual Arts Award.

On Monday 24 April at 1 p.m., limited to the capacity of the Sala Cine UAB, the public will be able to attend free of charge a dialogue between two feminist authors crossed by poetry, philosophy, anthropology and the visual arts. Love, which is the central theme of this conversation, is also one of the main themes that form part of the works and unite the discursive proposals of both authors.

This activity has been organised together with the Etxepare Basque Institute, the Encarna Sanhuja Yll Mention Project, the minor in Basque Studies at the UAB and the minor in Gender Studies at the UAB.
