TSH Talent Foundation and the UAB Refugee Programme renew their collaboration

TSH Talent Foundation and the Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) have renewed their collaboration agreement, which offers students in the UAB Refugee programme free accommodation, mentoring, and participation in a community focused on professional and personal development. This renewal reaffirms both organisations' commitment to the right to education, inclusion, and participation, as well as to creating opportunities for forcibly displaced individuals to continue developing their academic, professional, and personal projects.

Thanks to this collaboration, three students will be participating in the 2026/27 academic year in a programme dedicated to empowering agents of change; the programme offers accommodation at The Social Hub in Barcelona, ​​as well as mentoring and participation in a community with transformative potential. These master’s students are pursuing studies in health sciences and educational research at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​where they are developing their academic projects within the framework of the UAB Refugee Programme.

This support helps ensure the housing stability necessary for participants to continue their academic and personal journeys. It also fosters the development of talent among students from forced displacement backgrounds, aiming to open up new perspectives and opportunities through this mentorship programme.

The collaboration between the FAS and the TSH Talent Foundation represents a shared commitment to a university dedicated to human rights—one that fosters spaces for coexistence, exchange, and the participation of refugees in social and university life. It also helps enable students whose lives have been marked by forced displacement to resume their studies in a safe environment, with opportunities for personal and academic development.

The UAB Refugee Programme, managed by the FAS, promotes the right to higher education for refugees and forcibly displaced persons by ensuring access to and the continuation of university studies through comprehensive support. This support includes socio-academic guidance, legal advice, psychological support, language training, and assistance to cover basic needs such as housing. The programme highlights the importance of recognising everyone's right to produce, share, and transform knowledge, thereby contributing to a university committed to social impact from a human rights-based perspective.
