The UAB travelled to Helsinki to participate in the EAIE 2019

The EAIE is the most important international higher education event held in Europe. This September a UAB delegation attended the education fai. It was led by Vice Rector in International Relations Màrius Martínez and included several representatives from the Area of International Relations and the Office of International Projects
EAIE 2019
The UAB once again participated in the EAIE, the most important international higher education fair to be held in Europe. In this year's event, which commemorates 31 editions in Helsinki, participatipon reached a total of 5,500 professionals from 95 countries from around the world. Attending in representation of the UAB were Vice Rector in International Relations Màrius Martínez; the head of the Area of International Relations Katja Schustakowitz; exchange programmes coordinator Isabel Boncompte; and Mireia Galí and Xavier Biarnés from the Office of International Projects.

During these four days, the UAB delegation met with over 40 universities from around the world with the aim of expanding its international collaborations. UAB representatives also participated in some of the workshops held at the fair. Under the conference theme of "Encompassing all voices", the EAIE 2019 focused on the educational model of Finland, a leading system in inclusion and equal access to educaiton.

The EAIE 2020 conference and exhibition will be held in Barcelona and its theme will be "Forging Creative Pathways". The organisers assure that the Catalan capital is "one of the smartest cities in the world" and that its creative thinking "is necessary to take on the complex realities of the world we are living in" and "create a responsible international higher education system".
