The UAB will launch in the 2024/25 academic year a dual specialisation in the bachelor's degree in Business and Information Technology, a degree offered on the UAB's Sabadell campus. This dual specialisation consists of spending part of the student's studies in a company or institution in which a paid professional activity is carried out.

Campus de Sabadell

The dual mention implies that between 20% and 40% of the ECTS credits of the bachelor's degree must be taken in a collaborating entity, which may be "a company, social organisation or union, an institution or administration", as established in Royal Decree 822/2021. The credits taken in the collaborating entity must include the completion of the final project. Academic activities will alternate with a paid working activity. In this way, the aim is to improve the comprehensive training and employability of students.

The first dual specialisation of the UAB will be in the bachelor's degree in Business and Information Technology, pioneering studies in Spain focused on training professionals to participate in digital projects, redefine processes, implement large management systems (resource planning, customer relationship, supply chain management, etc.), manage big data and develop new business models.

Dual training will take place during the fourth year of the degree course, in which students will combine their stay in the company or institution with optional subjects on web technology, digital entrepreneurship, etc. In the 2024/25 academic year, a total of twelve places will be offered in this specialisation.
