In the 2024/25 academic year, the UAB launched a virtual space containing teaching support tools as a means to offer lecturers practical and useful resources for their teaching activities. Over 2,100 people have entered throughout the year. The space will continue to be available in the 2025/26 academic year with the goal of consolidating itself as a leading online teaching support space.

The virtual classroom can be accessed through Campus Virtual by entering in the Moodle classroom. The tools are organised into six thematic blocks: inclusion and attention to diversity, teaching and learning methodologies, learning assessments, ITC teaching tools, gender perspective in teaching activities, and artificial intelligence. Each section offers materials, guides and resources that can be adapted to different contexts and disciplines.

The area was created to be a live and evolving environment which will be updated with new contents. The initiative, launched by the UAB as part of its institutional commitment to educational improvements, "aims to provide lecturers with useful and accessible resources that can make their day-to-day teaching activities easier", says José Luís Muñoz, vice-rector for Training and Teaching Innovation of the UAB.
