The UAB conference services launches its own website within the institutional portal
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has launched a new website dedicated to conference and event services, integrated into the UAB institutional portal. This new platform aims to bring the service even closer to the university community and facilitate access to information, resources, and advice for the organisation of academic and institutional activities.
The UAB Conference Office has been supporting the university community since 1993, with the aim of accompanying teaching staff, research staff and other members of the University in the organisation of events linked to academic activities. Over these three decades, the service has established itself as the principal resource for the planning of congresses, conferences, scientific meetings, and institutional events.
The conference service offers specialised advice to all people in the UAB community who want to promote or organise an activity. The team supports organisers in all phases of the process—from the initial conception to the final development—by providing knowledge, experience and a wide network of collaborators in order to carry out events that are organised with rigour, quality and aligned with the values of the University.
In addition to supporting initiatives that arise within the campus, the service also works to attract external conferences and activities that contribute to strengthening the scientific and institutional projection of the UAB and its university environment.
Committed to sustainable development, the UAB also promotes a responsible way of organising events. In this sense, the conference service advises on the incorporation of good practices aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes more environmentally responsible event models. The service has been awarded the Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle accreditation, in recognition of its commitment to sustainability.
