Moana Quartet

The Moana Quartet will offer 2 gigs in the UAB Theatre on March 25th as part of the Escena UAB cycle. The performances are organised by the Musical, Plastic and Corporal Expression Department and Cultura en Viu and they have a pedagogical objective. The title of the function is 'Musicis Natura', and explores the connections between nature and music

The Moana Quartet was created in the Liceu Conservatory of Barcelona in 2013 with the intention of reinventing one of the most iconic formations of classical music: the string quartet. The group consists of violinists Rubén Herrera and Carlota Novell, violist Anna Ribera and violoncellist Clara Manjón.

The musicians have unique vision of music and believe in innovation. Their repertoire has pieces from composers like Haydn, Dvorak or Ernest Bloch and is crafted with influences from different genres and periods of history.
