IWD Setembre 2015
From 14th to 19th September the International Welcome Days (IWD) will take place, a week full of activities aiming at welcoming the international students who come to study at the UAB in the academic year 2015/2016. These days are ment for students to get to know the UAB campus, services and associations, besides having the chance to know other international and local students at the UAB so they can enjoy their stay as much as possible.

On Monday 14 a Students’ Associations and UAB services Fair will launch the IWD. The students will there be able to receive information about the activities that will take place during the year, in which they also have the chance to participate. Moreover, there will be a welcome session at the UAB Cinema, with the presence of the vice-rector for International Relations, Lluís Quintana, the Language Service, the Autonomous Solidarity Foundation and Community Involvement Unit. The complete programme of the IWD will then be explained and each one of the entities will then share the activities planned on 2015/2016 for international students.

Among the activities, we would like to highlight the International Lunch, on Wednesday 16th at 1:30 pm, where international students bring some typical dishes from their countries and share them with others.  We would also like to encourage the participation in the students’ association ESN (Erasmus Student Network) presentation and the Tandem, a programme where international students get to know local student to partner up and practise languages.

To wrap up the IWD, on Saturday will be a picnic at the Ciutadella Park, where international students will have the chance to get to know other UAB students in a much casual environment.
