Solidarity breakfast on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

On 17 and 18 October, the restaurants at the faculties of Science and Bioscience will offer free solidarity breakfasts in exchange for a kilogram of non-perishable food as a way of commemorating International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The breakfast will include coffee and pastry.

The initiative is offered by the UAB and the catering company “Clece Restauración” and aims to collect food for the more disadvantaged people of our society. The food collected will be donated to the association Rebost Solidari de Cerdanyola, who will distribute it to those most in need.

For each kilogram of food donated by cafeteria-goers, the UAB and Clece will donate two additional kilograms and deliver all of the food collected to the association Rebost Solidari de Cerdanyola.
