Services at the UAB campus during winter break
As is customary during the winter break, some UAB campus services will have special opening hours and most will close from 23 December 2022 to 8 January 2023.
The UAB Security Services will be working 24 hours a day, every day, and can be reached at 93 581 25 25 in the case of medical emergencies, given that the Health Assistance Services will be closed. The internal bus service will not be operative during these two weeks. For information on how to arrive to the campus, please check the UAB’s transport and mobility website.
All libraries will be closed except for the Social Sciences Library (Floors -2 and -3), which will be open from 23 December to 8 January, 24 hours a day, and the study hall of the Social Sciences Library (Ground Floor and Floor -1), which will be open from 2 to 8 January, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 midnight. The post office, Correos, will be open from Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and will be closed on 24 and 31 December. The Reprography Office at the Plaça Cívica will open Mondays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The only restaurants open will be at the Faculty of Social Sciences from 2 to 8 January, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and at the Hotel Exe Campus, Mondays to Fridays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Another service that will be open is the Physical Activity Service (SAF), which will open on 23, 27, 28, 29 and 30 December, and on 2, 3 and 4 January, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:20 p.m. On 24 and 31 December, and on 5 January, the SAF will remain open from 8:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. Entrance to the during these days is available by appointment only.
The IT Users Support Services will be available (93 581 21 00, cas@uab.cat) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays to Fridays, except holidays. The General Register Office, located in the Rectorat building, will be open from 9 a.m. from 2 p.m., by appointment only (93 581 20 29, registre.general@uab.cat). The Rector’s Secretary Office will be open from Mondays to Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. And the stable services will also be available Mondays to Fridays, except holidays, from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.; on holidays and weekends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
