On Tuesday 4 December at 1 p.m. the poetic-musical show Maleïdes les Guerres will be screened in Sala Teatre UAB. This show deals with war and its consequences, a complaint on these conflicts by using music, words and creativity in order to stop this brutality.
Aquelles maleïdes guerres
Musician Carles Beltran, actress Lali Barenys and singer Namina present next Tuesday 4 December in Sala Teatre UAB the show Maleïdes les Guerres (i aquell qui les va fer).

As artists committed to society, they pretend -using creation and culture- to answer to the turbulent world in which we live. "We have weapons of mass destruction", the authors explained.

Thus, they demand their own arsenal: words, music, poetry, creativity and, in general, culture. They condemn wars of any kind through voice, music and words, and they defend that fighting is what makes us feel alive and be free.

Maleïdes les guerres gathers words and the author's testimony as well as the work of some writers (Boris Vian or W. H. Auden), Rimbaud's poetry or music by Ovidi Montllor, Bob Dylan or Silvio Rodríguez, among others.

Carles Beltran creates music, combining guitar and piano, captivating us with his particular style; Namina offers her voice, unique and dreamy; and Lali Barenys, provides us with her meaningful words.
