Once again, the UAB supports refugees

The Project “Leaving no one behind” has ended, but the university stills engaged with the victims of the forced displacement.

During the academic year 2018-2019, the UAB took action in favor of the 70 million people in the world forced to flee their home countries. Among other actions, the university has participated in the project “Leaving no one behind. Committed to the SDGs and shelter at universities”, an awareness-raising initiative undertaken by the Spanish UNHCR Comitee together with the university foundation Fundació Autònoma Solidaria (FAS).

As part of Hosting People in Search of Shelter UAB Programme, this project has involved more than 500 people —refugees, students, professors and experts. You can check some of these actions here or watch this video.
