The Observatory for Equality participated last Monday, 14 March in a meeting with students from Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands) to explain its duties and involvement with the university community.

The 14 attendees to the meeting were students of Management Studies who are conducting a research on the management of diversity within institutions. The research is coordinated by the two professors of Radboud University who are responsible for the research in the EGERA project, and who were also present.

The partnership between UAB and Radboud University has contributed to the students’ visit, who during their stay will review the Gender Pilot Training in gender, which was presented by the Dutch researchers in May 2015 at UAB, and will also carry out some field work on the management of diversity and equality in public institutions in Catalonia.

The students were particularly interested in the Action Plans for Equality and the leadership of UAB in proposals regarding both gender and disabilities. Other documents also draw their attention, like the Guidelines for non-sexist language and the III Action Plan for Equality between women and men at UAB.
