Japan's Friendship Ties (MIRAI) application period open until September 11
Japan's Friendship Ties Program Mirai (Mutual-understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative), promoted by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, selects 150 students specialized in different areas to deepen their knowledge about Japan, its politics, economy and culture, through seminars and visits to universities and prominent cultural places.
The application period ends on September 11, 2023 (2:00 UTC+2 / 9:00 JST).
The organization makes the following recommendations:
- It is advisable to familiarize yourself with the application deadlines and prepare the documents during the month of August, if possible
- Administrative documents that do not need to be processed through universities must be delivered during the month of August
- It is necessary to have a passport to make the request. Only the passport is considered a valid form of identification. In case you do not have it, it is recommended to request it as soon as possible, to obtain it before the end of August and submit the application.
Students can opt for one of the following groups:
Group 2 – Diplomacy and Security (Face-to-face program: November 14 - November 21)
Group 3 – Economy and trade (Face-to-face program: November 14 - November 21)
Group 4 – Science and technology (Face-to-face program: February 13 - February 20)
Group 5 – Environment (Face-to-face program: November 14 - November 21)
