Exhibition “From here and there

“From here and there” is photographic project by Joan Expósito made up of sixty images, which tracks the Catalan independence referendum held on 1 October 2017. 

Taken in Cerdanyola del Vallès, the photographs portray the activity of the citizens who backed the initiative, during the days leading up to the referendum and the days after. 

In the author’s words, “This set of images aims to show the civility, know-how and good coexistence of the thousands and thousands of Catalans who took the streets.” 

The photographs have been divided into three blocks, which you can visit from September to November 2020 in the lobbies of the Social Sciences Library, the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives and the Humanities Library. 

The exhibition is a loan from AFOCER, Agrupació Foto-Cine Cerdanyola-Ripollet.
