Enjoy again the Christmas concert with the performances of the Choir, the Chamber Choir and the Orchestra of the UAB
The concert took place at 13:45h in the Sala de Teatre of the UAB, where all security measures and capacity were met. The musical event featured pieces from different periods and composers.
Last Monday, December 20, the Orchestra, Choir and Chamber Choir of the UAB performed their traditional Christmas Concert. The concert took place at 13:45h live at the Sala de Teatre of the UAB with free admission, previously completing a ticket reservation form.
The event began with the concert of the Choir and Chamber Choir, both formations directed by Poire Vallvé, where they performed a series of pieces among which was the premiere of the Afghan lullaby "Aa lalo bacha lalo" arranged by Poire Vallvé. In addition, pieces such as "Also Gott die Welt geliebt" by H. Schütz, "U os omnes" by F. Valls or "The lamb" by J. Taverner, among others, could be heard.
This performance was followed by the Orchestra concert. In this part, the ensemble conducted by Jesús Badia performed several pieces from very different periods and styles, among which the "Sinfonía n.1" by Joseph Haydn or "Preparense (tango)" by Azor Piazzolla (on the centenary of his birth) stand out.
Then, the Orchestra, the Choir and the Chamber Choir performed together popular Catalan songs such as "Nadalenca" (canon) with text by Ramon Vinyes, "Josep i Maria van a pasejar" or "Villancet" with music by Eduard Toldrà.
