The eight taekwondo students and athletes who will represent the UAB at the European Universities Games 2024 are five women and three men: Marcos Aguilar (Law), Alma María Pérez and Adrián Salanova (Chemical Engineering), Alba Murillo (Journalism), Julia Fernández (Physiotherapy), Laura Bonals (Criminology), Judit Merlos (Veterinary Medicine) and Mikel Fernández (Psychology).

These athletes from the UAB together with others from the UB, UdG, UPC, UPF and URL (in total 21 athletes) are part of the team of Catalan universities that, with the support of the General Secretariat of Sport, will represent the Catalan University Sport (ECU) association in these games organised by the European University Sports Association (EUSA), taking place in Hungary from 19 to 24 July.

The EUSA Games is a biannual event that brings together more than 5,000 students from 400 universities across Europe, competing in various sports disciplines. This year, the competitions are being held in the Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Miskolc. The Catalan university athletes will compete after qualifying for the Spanish University Championships, representing their universities.
