Cultura en Viu announces the entrance exams for the UAB Choir, Orchestra and Theatre Group for the 23-24 academic year
The entrance exams to join the Orchestra, the Choir and the Stable Theatre Group for the next academic year will be held during the months of September and October.

Applicants interested in joining the UAB Orchestra will have to take an audition on the following dates: Monday 18 September, Thursday 21 September and Thursday 28 September, all from 12 to 2 pm. During the test, participants will have to show their level by performing two works of a contrasting character with a duration of between 4 and 8 minutes. Members of this group are required to have a minimum of a third year of intermediate level of solfège or similar training, as well as previous experience in other orchestral ensembles. They must also be available and have a flexible timetable for rehearsals and performances inside and outside the UAB.
On the other hand, candidates for the UAB Choir will have to take the entrance exams on the following dates: Wednesday 13 September between 2pm and 4pm, Monday 18 September between 1pm and 2.30pm and Wednesday 20 September between 1pm and 2.30pm. The test will last 10 minutes and you don't need to bring anything prepared. To be part of this group, you must have knowledge of musical language, a good ear and the ability to tune. Previous experience as a member of choral groups and commitment to attend rehearsals and performances are also required.
For those interested in joining the UAB Theatre Stable Group, the audition will consist of a three-hour work session that will take place on Wednesday 4 October from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Candidates must prepare a short text, whether dramatic, poetic or narrative, to perform during this session. They must also have previous theatre training and stage experience through courses, workshops or participation in theatre groups.
With the aim of providing more information about the entrance exam for the Theatre Group, on Wednesday 27 September at 5.30pm, in the UAB Theatre, an information session will be organised about the proposed work for the next academic year and the general functioning of the Theatre Classroom
Registration forms for the Orchestra, the Choir and the Theatre Stable Group auditions are already available and applicants must reserve an available time for the level test. In case of incompatibility with the established time slots, it is recommended to contact the Live Culture Unit to arrange another date.
