Closure of the road to Cerdanyola del Vallès for urgent actions
The UAB reports that today the road connecting the north axis of the UAB campus to Cerdanyola del Vallès was closed as a precaution, following yesterday's strong winds and the detection of a tree with an imminent risk of falling.
A tree located on the North axis, near the campus' Fire Station, was seriously damaged by the recent gusts of wind, and therefore urgent action needs to be taken to guarantee the safety of people and vehicles. The work includes the controlled felling of the tree and the removal of fragments that could fall.
During the intervention, the connecting road will be temporarily closed. Alternatively, people leaving the buildings located on the North axis can use the roundabout at the Faculty of Medicine or exit towards Sabadell on the Turó de Sant Pau road.
The road is expected to be closed until approximately 3:00 p.m.
The UAB apologises for any inconvenience this measure may cause and appreciates the collaboration and understanding of the entire university community.
