Carme Font Paz is awarded a Starting Grant
Carme Font, lecturer at the Department of English, has won one of the Starting Grants awarded this year to young and early-career researchers by the European Research Council (ERC)

Carme Font Paz holds a PhD in English Literature from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She is also Research Associate at the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She has received postdoctoral research grants from the UCLA Center for 17th- and 18th- Century Studies, and the Houghton Library, Harvard University.
Starting Grants are awarded according to scientific excellence criteria and each project receives a total of 1.5 M Euros. This year, the ERC has awarded a total amount of 603M Euros to 403 researchers from 48 different nationalities.
