La Biblioteca de Comunicació i Hemeroteca General acollirà la primera de les activitats, el taller pràctic.

International Open Access Week will be held in different parts of the world from 19 to 25 October. This event is an annual initiative to promote open access (OA) in the academic and research world. This year’s theme is “The Cost of Knowledge,” and it aims to explore why the access to and dissemination of knowledge—which are a human right—come with costs that increase every year.

Various activities to promote open access will take place at the UAB. For instance, a practical workshop on depositing research data into CORA.RDR—covering the process step by step—will be held on Monday 19 October at the Communication Library and General Newspaper Archives.

In addition, on Wednesday 21 October an information session will be held for members of the university community interested in applying for a research accreditation from ANECA or AQU. It will take place in the conference hall of the Rectorat building.

Later, on Tuesday 3 November, throughout the morning and also at the Rectorat building, the UAB will host the 2nd Open Science Day, which will include talks on open science, experiences in citizen science, and the presentation of the UAB Open Science Awards.
