The UAB celebrates European Researchers' Night with an evening full of outreach activities
On Friday 2 October, the UAB is organising a wide range of activities as part of the European Researchers' Night, a public event dedicated to science outreach.
On Friday 2 October, the UAB will celebrate European Researchers' Night with a day packed with outreach activities. The goal is to bring research, innovation, and the people behind them closer to the public of all ages in an accessible and entertaining way. Starting at 5:00 p.m., the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona will offer a research fair featuring workshops, demonstrations, games, and short talks with researchers from the University and the research institutes of the UAB Sphere.
The event takes place every year at the start of autumn, simultaneously in over 300 cities across 30 European countries. During this time, the public can enjoy more than 200 free activities across Catalonia—suitable for all audiences—including talks, workshops, experiments, shows, and games, featuring researchers from over 50 scientific institutions.
The NitRecerCat2627 project is associated with the European Union’s MSCA and Citizens initiative—part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (HORIZON-MSCA-2025-CITIZENS-01)—and involves the collaboration of a consortium comprising the University of Girona (UdG), the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the University of Barcelona (UB), the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal), the University of Lleida (UdL), the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), the Equitat.org Foundation, and the Catalan Association for Science Communication (ACCC), which is responsible for communication and the coordination of the various nodes.
