Once again, the UAB Libraries launches the initiative "Come and Discover Your Library", which includes a virtual escape room, tours of the libraries, training sessions and online resources to help new students discover all the services available.

With the start of the new academic year, the UAB libraries are offering a range of activities and resources so that students starting their first year can familiarise themselves with the services and facilities at their disposal.

Part of the "Come and Discover Your Library" initiative includes a virtual escape room entitled "Save the Library", an activity that allows participants to discover the services and resources of the various libraries in an entertaining way. The activity lasts around 30 minutes and registration is available via the Campus Virtual.

The programme also includes in-person visits and training sessions organised by the various libraries. Participants can learn about in-person and online services, library spaces, how to locate materials, the book loan system, channels for resolving queries, and the facilities at each location. Registration is available via the libraries' training calendar.

In addition, libraries offer the possibility of arranging sessions at mutually agreed times by contacting the specific library directly.

The initiative also includes the website First time at the library, which provides information on leading libraries, the UAB card, the loan service, recommended reading from academic staff, access to the digital library, study and work spaces, and other resources of interest.
