The UAB extends the agreement on sick leaves within the University Boards
The UAB, together with the rest of public universities, agreed to extend the Agreement on health-related leave of absence days at the University Board meeting held on 27 June.
Within the framework of the University Boards (the body representing the 4 groups, both PDI and PTGAS civil servants and labour staff), the universities have reached an agreement with the workers' representatives to extend the Agreement on days of absence for health reasons until December 2024 and it will be automatically extended if neither of the two parties denounces it with at least 30 days' notice.
Thus, the possibility of having a limit of 8 days a year of justified absence from work for health reasons, not giving rise to temporary incapacity, without payroll deduction, remains in force.
The universities have shown their willingness to find a suitable formula to meet the health needs of employees, with due accreditation and making being able to attend to these needs compatible with the proper functioning of the services.
