UAB Theatre Programming

Academic year 2023/2024

At the Theatre of the UAB you can find a varied programming of dance, theatre and music of own production and professional shows, as well as academic activities or institutional acts. The programming of the Theatre takes place from October to June of every academic year.

EL COLOR DEL AZAFRÁN

An interpretation of 48 short stories that reviews the different stages of life: childhood, maturity and old age.

EL PA NOSTRE DE CADA DIA

A play based on a piece by Bertolt Brecht that relates a situation of economic crisis in a neighborhood where a fight for food breaks out. 


Wednesday 13 March, 13.30 pm.
 

QUARTET DE FLAUTES TRAVESSERES "NEUMA"

An instrumental performance of cross-distance flutes formed by Estela Córcoles, Alejandra Villalobos, Anna Pujol and Raquel Díaz Esquiva.

LA PRIMERA I LES MESTRES DE LA REPÚBLICA

A theatrical production that pays tribute to the first teachers of the Republic who broke barriers and taught them to think.

LES DUES CARES D'ELON MUSK

A show focused on the figure of Elon Musk as a symbol of the growing technological ultracapitalism that aims to create a space for reflection on his figure.

Alice Brich’s play represents a challenge to subvert power discourses from a feminist perspective that invites us to revolutionize the world.

CONCERT D'HIVERN "EL SO DE LA LLUM"

The traditional UAB Winter Concert by the choir, the Chamber Choir and the University Orchestra, conducted by Poire Vallvé and Jesús Badia, respectively.

IRIS

An autobiographical monologue that deals with a taboo subject in society, suicide; it does so through different stories, real and fiction, the result of authentic and imagined experiences.

PARLEM-NE

An inclusive documentary dance-theatre show by choreographer Vero Cendonya that reflects on communication in couples and families.

BOSTIKIANES

A puppet show with a sung voice that explains the role of women in society at different stages of life; from memory, past and future.


Monday 27 November, 12.00 p.m.

AULA BRECHT

A stage proposal that combines texts, images and teachings by the German playwright Bertolt Brecht and invites us to reflect on topics such as capitalism, anti-militarism and truth.

Monday 13 November, 12.00 p.m.

ALMOST MAINE

Adaptation of the play by American playwright John Cariani by the theatre company La Missiva, with love and loss as protagonists.


Monday 30 October, 17.30 p.m.

MASTERCLASS LLIBERT FORTUNY

A session with the musician and saxophonist Llibert Fortuny in which he will talk about the neural development in improvisation, and the work he does in his Chromatic Center in Cerdanyola del Vallès.

Tuesday 10 October, 12.30 p.m.

MOLECULAR PLASTICITY

An interactive production that fuses dance, science and technology to provide a new understanding of the research work of the scientist Inmaculada Yruela.
