On Thursday 12 November, a webinar for the European project LINEup will take place, during which the results of a qualitative study conducted in Spain on educational inequalities and student engagement will be publicly presented.
The primary objective of the LINEup project is to identify the factors that help ensure inclusive, high-quality education for students aged 6 to 18. In this qualitative study, conducted by the GRET team (UAB), 8 schools—covering primary, compulsory secondary, and post-compulsory secondary education—were analysed, gathering the perspectives of 194 participants (10 school administrators, 56 teachers, 62 students, 54 family members, and 12 specialised professionals).
During the session, the key findings of the study will be shared, analysing how school organisation, leadership, emotional wellbeing and teaching practices influence pupil engagement. Furthermore, the conditions that facilitate school participation and the structural factors that educational institutions face in socio-economically complex environments will be discussed.
