New archaeology campus in La Noguera
The mayor of Camarasa, rector of the UAB and the president of the Association for Research and Dissemination of Historic Heritage recently signed a collaboration agreement to create the new UAB Archaeology Campus in La Noguera.

Genetic study revives debate on origin and expansion of Indo-European languages
UAB participated in a research published in Nature which identified a massive migration of Kurgan populations from the Russian steppes to the centre of Europe some 4,500 years ago, favouring the expansion of Indo-European languages throughout the continent.
Women's Week at SAF
In commemoration of International Women's Day, the UAB Physical Activity Service (SAF) opens its doors from 2 to 8 March with the aim of fostering different types of sports among women. Men will also be able to take advantage of the offer if they are accompanied by one or more women.

The Ranking Web of Repositories conducted by the CSIC Cybermetrics Lab, positions the UAB Digital Repository of Documents as the leading repository among Spanish universities.
UAB Radio began broadcasting on 13 February
UAB Radio began broadcasting at 12 noon on 13 February, coinciding with World Radio Day. The first emission included the participation of Ferran Sancho and Antoni Bassas and was available on the 100.3 FM dial and at www.uab.cat/campusmedia/.
