The UAB will be showcasing its academic programmes for the 2016-2017 academic year at the Saló de l'Ensenyament from 9 to 13 March and Saló Futura on 11 and 12 March.

New activity: How does the Síndic de Greuges de Catalunya work?
The Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Community Involvement Unit, has organized a new activity that will allow you to find out more about the Síndic de Greuges de Catalunya. This activity will take place from 30 March to 20 April and can be acknowledged with 2 ECTS.
New form of quantum entanglement achieved with three "twisted" photons
Researchers in Austria and at the UAB succeed for the first time in entangling three photons in a new asymmetric pattern. Their research, with applications in quantum cryptography, has been published in Nature Photonics.
Knowledge management in indigenous societies could help to improve European societies
A study by ICTA-UAB funded by the European Research Council (ERC) shows that in indigenous societies individuals with greater local environmental knowledge catch more game and enjoy better health.
UAB presents its academic offer in Europe, South America and Asia
The UAB is taking part in the QS World Grad School Tour, to showcase its academic programmes in education fairs around the world. From February to May it will be in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, London, Paris, Milan and New Delhi.
The artist Cris Blanco presents her performance Science-Fiction
After performing at the CCCB, the MACBA, MUSAC and La Pedrera, the artist Cris Blanco will present the performance Science-Fiction at the UAB Theatre, in which the artist interprets scientific theories from an artistic point of view. The performance will take place at the UAB theatre on Wednesday 2 March at 5.00 pm.
The Debate League starts on 15 February
On 15 February started both editions of the Debate League: the High School Debate League and the University Debate League. On 15 Monday there was an informative session organized by the Community Involvement Unit at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology.
Study on use of digital technologies by children under 8
UAB and UAM researchers have coordinated a comparative study on how young children, mainly between the ages of six and seven, engage with internet and the new digital devices in their family context.
Food-trucks at the Health and Sustainability Week
UAB’s Health and Sustainability Week from 4 to 8 April will include workshops, conferences and several other activities. A total of over 50 activities will be offered on campus, including novelties such as food-trucks selling healthy meals, which will be at the UAB on Thursday.
