Juan Luis Arsuaga, palaeontologist and co-director of the archaeological site of Atapuerca, recently visited the UAB to give a conference at the Faculty of Biosciences in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
The palaeontologist and co-director of the digs at Atapuerca gave the conference “Game of Thrones in the Pleistecene” on 23 February at the Faculty of Biosciences, as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. The hall was filled with people attending the two-hour conference.
Six UAB research projects will receive a total of €576,056 of the 1.6M Euros the RecerCaixa programme awards to promote scientific research of excellence in Catalonia in the fields of social sciences and health.

Juan Luis Arsuaga, co-director of the excavations at Atapuerca, will give a conference to inaugurate this year's second semester at the Faculty of Biosciences on Thursday 23 February. The conference forms part of the events celebrating ten years since the faculty first opened.
The exhibition "La Guerra Fría: Causas - Historia - Consecuencias" will be on display at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting until 2 March. German Consul General Rainer Eberle inaugurated the event on 16 February.
