In commemoration of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Observatory for Equality invites the UAB community to help restor the feminist mural found at the Plaça Cívica on 24 November at 1 p.m. The event will begin with a speech by Secretary General Esther Zapater, which will be followed by the reading of a manifesto written by the Women and Science Committee of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia. A minute of silence will also be held for the victims of gender-violence. And finally, after the presentation of the session, graphic designer Anna Carrasquedo will direct the group restoration with the help of a live performance by the Musical Sisters.

The murals painted at the Plaça Cívica were commissioned to Clara Corax in 2020, but were vandalised soon after. These murals have suffered numerous attacks and that is why the Observatory for Equality has decided to dedicate the commemoration of 25N to restoring and repainting them as a symbol of the UAB's commitment to working towards erradicating gender-based violence and consturcting a feminist university.
