UAB participates in the universities’ debate on healthy and sustainable campuses

The I Taller Foro Vives d’Universitats Saludables de la Xarxa Vives (Catalan Healthy Universities Network), a debate about healthy and sustainable campuses, took place on Tuesday 14 November in Valencia. UAB was one of the 12 universities from Xarxa Vives that participated.
Taller Xarxa Vives
UAB took part in the I Taller Foro Vives d’Universitats Saludables de la Xarxa Vives which took place in Valencia. The main aim was to set a strategic model of reference for healthy and sustainable universities. Attendees debated about which should be the characteristics and key issues of the model that they will share and which methodologies of positioning each university will adopt regarding said model.
 
On this occasion, 12 universities from Xarxa Vives participated in the meeting. Elena Martínez and Pilar Rueda, from the University of Valencia, launched the event. Many speakers gave talks throughout the meeting, one of them being Andreu Benito, responsible for the Healthy and Sustainable Campus of UAB project, who presented the project for healthy campuses of the Xarxa Vives network.
 
Xarxa Vives is a nonprofit organization that represents and coordinates the action of 22 universities of four European states on higher education, research and culture. Since 1994, they offer a platform that leads services for universities, public and private organizations and society aiming to contribute in the process of constructing an economical and social development of this European-Mediterranean university region.
 
This project will continue in the second meeting that will take place on 12 December in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra under the title “II Taller de Model estratègic d'Universitats Saludables i Sostenibles”.
