The work “Let yourself go” wins the Photo Exchange Contest 2018

The work titled “Let yourself go” by Jorge Esteban Roca wins the X Edition of the Exchange Photo Contest.

Taking advantage of the fair of Sant Jordi in the UAB, the team of Community Dynamization announced the winner of the X Edition of the Photo Contest: Let youself go by Jorge Esteban Roca. The work was unanimously chosen by the Jury, made up of two Community Involvement technicians and three students participating in Mentor, and was accompanied by the following description: "Take the wrong bus, take the plane at the last minute, spend a night in the open. But, above all, make new friendships, do not take into account neither race nor culture nor religion, these people will be the ones that will keep alive the memory and the adventure of your trip".
 
In this edition of the Exchange Photo Contest, students currently enrolled in the UAB who had participated in some academic mobility program during the last three years, whether local or international students could register. The presentation period was opened March 13th and ended on April 11th, 2018. Subsequently, between April 12th and 19th, all the works presented, a total of 125, were posted in an album on the Facebook page of the Community Involvement Unit for voting by the public, the three most voted went directly to the vote of the Jury. The winning person has received an instant camera.
 
The aim of the contest is to capture the student's life experience in a situation of academic transit and, at the same time, motivate the community to participate in academic stays abroad to complement their academic training and promote the internationalization of the university. Each participant could submit a maximum of two photographs that should be original and unpublished, as well as express and transmit some aspect of the experience or learning of the stay abroad.
