The UAB Theatre will welcome the play ‘W.I.T.C.H’ on Wednesday 4 of March at 1 o’clock. The function will be part of the ‘Artefacte’ cycle and it is impulsed by the Systematic and Social Psychology Department because of the International Women’s Day (8 of March). Entrance will be free and tickets will be available half an hour before the activity.

The show is set in the 60s and tells the real story of ‘W.I.T.C.H’ (Women’s International Terrorist Conspiracy from Hell), an American feminist group which in the context of counterculture fought for economic and social equality of women. With strength, bravery and originality (they used the iconography of witches) they had a short but influent trajectory that created messages that still last today. The main characters of the play are based on Anita Hoffman, Judy Clavir and Robin Morgan, who were members and founders of the W.I.T.C.H group.

The Les Fugitives Company had its origin in 2016 and it was created by Judith Corona, Laia Pujol and María Ten. In these 4 years they have created 5 different spectacles and these have had a very good reception in theatres around Catalonia. They believe in a theatre that claims women’s rights and explains universal themes in an authentic way.
