The UAB presents a new degree on Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence, key in the development of products and services, is a technology sector in the need of new professionals. That is why the UAB offers a new academic programme which includes the support of the Government of Catalonia.

The Rector of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Javier Lafuente, and Secretary of Digital Policies of the Government of Catalonia, David Ferrer, will be presenting on 28 January the new academic programme on Artificial Intelligence to be offered by the UAB in the 2021/22 acadmeic year. The event will commence at 10 a.m. and will be streamed live on the UAB's YouTube channel.

The implementation of the degee, which aims to cover the need for artificial intelligence experts in Europe, will be done with the support of the Government of Catalonia under the CAtalonia.IA strategic framework and the involvement of several UAB teaching and research centres, such as the Computer Vision Centre (CVC) and the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA-CSIC).

In addition to Rector Lafuente and Secretary Ferrer, the director of the School of Engineering, Ramon Vilanova, and coordinator of the new degree, Ernest Valveny, will be speaking at the event.
