Resolution of the call for interuniversity cooperation projects

The resolution of two calls from the Solidarity Fund for interuniversity cooperation projects led by UAB administrative and service staff (PAS), lecturers and researchers (PDI), and students has been published. The projects will take place in Uganda, Mexico, Ivory Coast, Vietnam. Gambia, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Bolívia.

As  a university committed to overcoming global challenges, the UAB works towards promoting cooperation and support actions in which members of the UAB community can contribute to global justice with their expertise and experience. Coordinated by the FAS, the Solidarity Fund serves to promote, fund and accompany projects with a Global Justice perspective.

Announced in the 2021/22 academic year, the FSXXXIX projects for members of PDI and PAS have now been resolved. Five international cooperation projects (Line 1) will be funded, with a total budget of €57,185.68.

The projects will be run in alliance with universities, educational centres and civil society organisations in Uganda, Mexico, Ivoy Coast and Vietnam. The proposals aim to strengthen the role of universities in defending rights and will focus on working on environmental justice, gender justice, anti-racism and alternative narratives, equal rights and opportunities in higher education,  and food safety and global health.  

The E2021-2022 call, created to foster participation among master's degree and PhD students, will fund a total of nine projects focusing on gender equality, health and environmental justice. They will be implemented in Gambia, Equatorial Guinea, Uganda, Guinea-Bissau, Chile, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Bolívia.
