On Friday 11 March at 1 pm the UAB Theatre will receive Marika Vila, cartoonist and author of the exhibit “Marika Vila. Woman's Voice Breaking Stereotypes” in the Exhibition Space of the UAB Theatre.

This event will be a great opportunity to understand the experience and thoughts of an author who uses comics (a traditionally masculine world) as a vehicle for staking her claims and making her woman's voice heard.

In the presentation, Joana Gallego, UAB professor and gender and communication specialist, will conduct a discussion-talk with the author about the representation of women in comics and gender stereotypes in this genre.
